Antique Baltic natural Butterscotch amber necklace
My wife has decided to sell most of her amber jewelry. She was born in Lithuania; spent her first 52 years there. Necklace is 30.5 inches in length clasp to clasp. There are 5 or 6 tests to see if amber is authentic. We chose to test it using salt water. This is a non invasive test. True amber floats in salt water. As you can see, these float. The balls range in size from between 10 to 20 cms in width.
5 of the balls show wear. One space suggests that one of the amber balls has broken in half and is missing.
It looks like one of the spaces has been glued together. PLEASE LOOK AT ALL THE PICTURES as they are an important part of the description.
