A STRAND OF VERY LARGE ANTIQUE OLD HAND CARVED FACETED RONDELLE NATURAL BALTIC HONEY AMBER BEADS. MEASURING 37 INCHES OR 94 CMS IN TOTAL AROUND THE NECK AND WEIGHING 77 GRAMS.

THESE BEADS DATE FROM THE EARLY TWENTIETH CENTURY AND ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. WE HAVE RECENTLY HAD THEM RE THREADED AND KNOTTED FOR SAFETY. THE CLASP AT PRESENT IS BASE METAL BUT COULD EASILY BE CHANGED TO GOLD. THE BEADS VARY IN SIZE BUT THEY ARE ALL MATCHED COLOUR AND THE SMALLEST MEASURES 7 MMS WITH THE LARGEST MEASURING 23 MMS OR JUST UNDER 1 INCH. ALL IN GOOD CONDITION SOME WITH NATURAL INCLUSIONS AND A FEW WITH VERY MINOR CHIPPING ON THE EDGES.
